Driving inspiration from stained glass windows, the mosaic technique and iron grills, this collection embraces a fresh material in the form of stained glass, as an experiment with colour. Salt, signi es the metallic salts that are added to glass during its manufacture to give it their vibrant colours. The technique of stained glass was vastly used during the Art-Deco and Art Nouveau periods, found primarily in churches. The glass nds itself enveloped in metal to create interesting add-ons. The collection plays with the idea of assemblage, much like how stained glass windows found in chapels are smaller elements that come together to tell a story.
